This show is the greatest!

I downloaded the raw encodes and have been watching it. Near the end of the series I burst into tears... I just wish I could understand what they are saying.
This show was also dubbed in Spanish and I've been looking for the raws for those since I can understand ~20% of what is said.
I would be willing to donate about $300 to anyone who is willing to translate this series.

I have the raws myself, $300 would be nice towards getting the original DVD's. hehe We just picked up Okojo though, so we would need another translator if we were to take this series on now. Down the road maybe, but with the work load as it is, Zenryoku needs to be completed first.

Yeah I'm also a major fan of okojo-san... so maybe I should just donate to make things go faster?

He said he can't work on it until after Dec 9th, so if you wanna give episode 4 a go, by all means.
About $500 for all 13 DVD's including shipping at current exchange rates.

Why not just pay someone by proxy and dump the raw disk images over the net?

To get all 13 DVD's would cost about $160 after shipping and about $20-$30 in customs charges to pay on the spot once the discs arrived. (13 Disc set released in 2012)
Bourbon all but lost interest in translating the series. Originally he handed me episodes in a semi timely manner but soon after the translations started coming in further and further apart until it pretty much ground to a halt. From then on Okojo was only looked on when there was nothing else going on. I have up to episode 30 roughly translated, but they still need a lot of work and it's quite time consuming.
We were planning to pick up on Okojo again once Tetsunoshin is done since we are past the halfway mark with that series and Zorori wrapped up awhile back.
If I had someone that could fully translate Okojo I would put out the episodes as quickly as they were translated. Unfortunately nobody has stepped forward to pick up translating Okojo full time.
I know it probably isn't the answer you were hoping for, but since this is 100% volunteer fansub, so unless someone volunteers, it has to wait. :/ And yes it would be nice to get the DVD's and put out HQ releases instead of encoding from the current quality AVI files we have now, but I can see trying to get a fundraiser together for that and it taking ages to get the $$$ in for that.
