Zorori's JP language education

It'd be cool if there are few Kaiketsu Zorori videos (maybe just Kaiketsu Zorori movie) hardsubbed in both English and Japanese.

I thought of that because Zorori-Project's main goal is to hardsub original videos into English subbed videos... so It's good idea to show how Japanese to English translation works.

This could be simple education for everyone who wanted to learn Japanese languages without needing to hear what they said in voices (without needing to replay in AVI player also).

Anyone thought of that too?

Actually, yeah. I learned a few things just by watching this show.
I think the english subbed version can teach people a few things about japanese culture.

This channel is really helpful for me to learn English.
I watch Zorori videos with listening in my mother tongue,Japanese , and reading in English.
Comparing these two language,I can learn living English,especially daily expressions!
I think these videos are really good for Japanese people who want to study English, too!!

Watching Zorori bit by bit I might have comments on translational or generally linguistic aspects... browsing the forum pages I found this thread. I'm not sure whether there are threads that deal especially with praise and critiscism for the Zorori series in particular, I may have missed them. Unless you direct me somewhere else I'll just stay here.

Watched 2 eps of the first season so far, translations are solid, annotations are good, and I'm aware that there are cases in which a translator has to compromise because literal translations of idioms are often enigmatic to the uninitiated. But how about proper names?
I don't quite understand why エルゼ became "Elzie"?
Her original name is clearly meant to be "Else" - which is a rather outdated but otherwise valid German first name. There's no way that anyone could have misheard the pronunciation, and unless the translator/transcriber was simply unfamiliar with German names I might be paranoid enough to imagine that while using Japanese proper names freely, presenting German names is not?
I am aware that this is a minor issue, and it's not like I meant to attack or criticize anyone in an undue manner - I simply stated something that I noticed and, being interested in translation issues, I thought I mention it.

Apart from that... I read through the few posts of this thread and there seems to be a widespread notion that Anime was a good way of learning Japanese... well, it is a way, but not a good one. I'd rather recommend using academic textbooks and use Anime for the purposes of getting a feel for pronunciation only. I met guys at conventions trying to converse with Japanese guests in Japanese they had learned from Anime and a few notes on grammar. Epic fail.
Anime can't correct any mistakes you make, without an experienced listener errors in pronunciation will fossilize, and last but not least you'd have to rely on the accuracy of the translation. Due to vast cultural differences in the origins of the respective languages the translated subs will most often be well-made interpretations, sure, but as such they are not good sources for concrete language acquisition.
