Short and sweet, it's all up now. Comes with both 2.0 and 5.1 surround sound AC3 tracks. Please do not make any requests for raws and or subtitles. I am getting over a really bad flu and just wanted to get this up before taking some R&R for a few days.

We haven't forgotten the other movie, it just kinda ran into this one, guaranteed, we are still working on it. Oh yes and because of a sligh slip up, Axel did all the timing for the script itself. I forgot to use the latest revision and it didn't list him as timer. He worked tirelessly at timing this movie and getting it out on time (before the weekend)

Sorry, we won't be posting that. The movie can be viewed with subs, just make sure they're enabled.

Thank you for this, I've been waiting for a translation, as I was planning on making Dutch subtitles for this little gem, but don't speak Japanese myself. Would you mind terribly if I used your translation and timings as base material? It won't be as fancy as yours (you did a really nice job!), I''ll just be making a .srt file, and probably will need to adjust a few timings and leave out the karaoke bit. I would of course leave your credits.
Also, I have no commercial intend of any kind, I just like the movie.
I'm not asking for any help or the sending of files (I can extract them myself), it's just a courtesy question I guess.

Thank you for subbing this, even though it ripped my heartstrings out and made me sad, I enjoyed the time I gave to watch this. I do very much appreciate all the hard work you all put to make these subs, cheers.

Also, one typo early on (weather / whether) and lots of really rough timing (not enough lead-in lead-out) but otherwise great job. :3

That's partially due to me not readjusting the timing to the AC3 audio tracks after the fact. Doesn't help that I'm suffering from a pretty bad flu right now.

No worries, but I look forward to a v2 patch. Relaxing movie needs relaxing sub timing.

Nice thing with the formatting, with a V2 I only really need to edit the timing on the main script. Everything else is fine.

But a V2? I don't have that kinda bandwidth >.<

Look up 'patching' for these things. I see it done frequently. I hear ya on the bandwidth thing, which is why a lot of places push the patch alongside it for those that already have the file, or simply just release the patch on its own and only do a V2 a ways down the line. Also, autosubscribe drives me crazy. *unchecks!* >.>

Got a link on these patches cuz I have no idea how to do that...

I mean the only difference really is the script which is inside the mkv.

If anyone else has any additions or corrections they would like to see in the issued patch coming up, please reply here. We've already improved on a few things, and since it is merely a script patch. You will not have to download your 720p or 1080p file again.

I'm done with the Dutch subtitles based on your translation and timings. So if you want to see how it turned out, you can download it here:
at least, that was the plan, I would post the link if the forum allowed me to post links...
It's on subtitlesnl.com (and appears to be spreading to other sites without me doing anything though .. you should find it easily enough if you realy want to.)

Touching, funny, joyful and incredibly sad in a great mixture.

Thankyou for subbing this, can't wait for an official release. I just hope that if they dub it they include the original Japanese with subs [which I think they will as I'm pretty sure they did on my blurays of Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.]

This is a group who may be able to rival Ghibli.
