Zorori Project - Aspect Ratios

I appreciate that you're speed subbing Zorori (heck, I wouldn't even shame it with that name, really - it's a bang up job that's pretty complete), but I noticed something a little odd about your episodes and the movie. Zorori came out before HDTV, so the aspect ratio is 4:3 (640x480) on it - however, your episodes are 720x480, meaning you've stretched them a good 20% across the horizontal. It's noticible in the intro since Saturn's slightly oval there. Also, the Zorori Movie suffers vertical stretch. It was 704x384, but your version is 720x480. Are you going to release them in the true aspect ratios sometime? Thanks.

Actually that's what the DVD's native resolution detects them at, and on most players
We were/are planning on a final release at the end of each series (if there is time) and may explore this option at that time, haven't gotten enough complaints about it to make it a priority.

Now now, if you press them they might make some mistakes, so let's be patient.

This is series 2 opening at 640X480 and 4:3 aspect ratio, in my opinion it doesn't look that much different to me

It's certainly more distinct in the movie though. But no, it's not like I pay you to do this.

There needs to be more hours in a day, and more translators for the show :S
Wish I got paid, then I could hire on an extra translator so I had free time to tie up other loose ends like this one

People voting for 720x480 might want to consider these screenshots:
720x480:
640x400:
So unless Jupiter is supposed to be an egg in Zorori's universe, I'd say more is not better here.

I'm not certain why you even posted a poll if you were just going to do it whatever way you liked anyway.

Because if there was enough interest in it I would have taken it into consideration but it's pretty much confirming that most people don't mind it the way it is That and it's still a couple months away so theres plenty of time for more people to vote : >
