Fan Project: Kaiketsu Zorori Pilot fandub

I"m Keetsune, and I'm planning on making a fandub of Kaiketsu Zorori for those that tend to shy away from subtitled anime (though I totally can't see why staring at the edges of the screen while trying to make sense of what's happening in the center of the screen can be frustrating at all ¬.¬.

It's horribly unlikely it will go beyond episode 1, but I thought it would be a good place to start. I've started writing up the script, and will submit it for the approval of others. In example, I've written english-version lyrics to the theme song, while trying to keep the same tempo and the same meaning to the original version. Kind of like Funimation, but I don't think I'm that good at it. Anyway, here's what I've got:

If I didn't suck too bad at the theme song, I might post the first half of the script I have. Honestly, since I'm not really good at most other things but writing and a little voice acting, I was also hoping for some help with voicework. If I can, I'd also ask around on Youtube, too; I bet a few people there would like to try their hand at something big as this.

So, to finish up up, feel free to cheer me on/let me know I'm doomed to fail.

...By the way, if anyone knows a way to remove just the non-musical audio from the episode, that would be really friggin' awesome and useful.

Unfortunately we don't use AVI raws for our encodings of Zorori, and what free time I have asis is stretched so thin I don't have the time to assist on such an undertaking :<

I don't know how useful this will be, but here it goes. I'm a geek. I have very little experiance with audio, but this is how I would attempt to remove the non-musical audio from the episode if the audio is not already separate. This requires two computers with audio and microphone connections and the free audio editing program, Audacity. You would also need some sort of audio cable that can run from a headphone jack to a microphone jack. I would play the episode on computer 1 without changing a thing. I would have the cord running from the headphone jack on computer 1 to computer 2. While computer 1 is playing the episode, computer two would be recording it with the microphone jack using Audacity. After the audio is recorded, I would use Audacity and try to remove the audio you want out of there. The timing has to be exact, or else you might have to line it up again so have a friend and do a little 1...2...3... countdown. I've done the exact same thing with my Nintendo DS and I don't see why it wouldn't be possible with a computer playing an episode of Zorori.

Did that make any sense? By the way, this might be illegal.

Ah someone with the same ideas as me!

I really wanted to dub Zorori after hearing the English dub in the Cartoon Network series.. It sounds funny, I'd like to give it a try but the problem is that I don't have a perfect mic for it. Also I'm not even sure if my voice suits the part for it, my voice tends to change when speaking into a mic. It sucks, xD.

I think it's fine. Isn't Zorori trying to become an evil prankster? His definition of evil isn't so bad though. xD
